1992-2009
2009
- Iwahig Project in Marikina
- The severe flooding brought about by Typhoon Ondoy (International Code name Ketsana) resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives and dislocation of thousands of families due to the loss of their homes. The rainfall totaled 455 mm the country’s highest in 40 years in just 24 hours. The city of Marikina was one of the most devastated areas affected by flooding. PCF assisted in the rehabilitation project in Sitio Iwahig, a Marikina community of extremely poor families where forty three families were identified as recipients (see pictures in topic heading). The rebuilding took place from February to March 2010.

2008
- The Malobago Rehabilitation Program (see pictures)
- Baranggay Malobago in Daraga, Albay was buried from the mudslides of molten lava from Mt. Mayon and from the devastation of Typhoon Reming (International Code name Frank) in 2007. Buried were hundreds of villagers, homes, animals, and the agricultural land. The survivors were relocated to Anislag, another barrangay that is far from the slopes of Mt. Mayon. PCF assisted with the livelihood rehabilitation projects from March to June 2008.

- Rice production - Farm tools: sets of harrow, plough, pick mattock,
shovel. Palay seedling dispersal to 74 farmers
- Vegetable produce - Seeds for planting: ampalaya, squash, upo, pole sitao, eggplant, tomato, cucumber, red pepper, kangkong to 94 farmers
- Alternative source of income - Carpentry tools: sets of wood plane, bricklaying trowel, square combination, fiberglass level, wood chisel, cold chisel, plumb bob, measuring tape, rubber grip hacksaw wood saw, hammer, shovel
2007
- Immediate emergency relief to victims of Typhoon Reming who were still in evacuation centers in Albay province. Rice, sardines, dried fish, sugar, mongo beans, cooking oil, and soap bars were
distributed to 164 families in sitio Pag-Asa Baranggay Rawis, Legaspi City, and to 186 families in Baranggay Lourdes in Tiwi, Albay. See relief photos.
2006
- Continued funding of mudslide victims in the province of Quezon trough CDRC. The focus was to provide income generating projects to displaced families. The livelihood projects included the
livestock dispersal of 100 chickens and 23 piglets to the families affected by mudslides in General Nakar Quezon.
2005

Citizen's Disaster Response Center - for the mudslide, flood, and typhoon
victims in barrio Umiray, Dingalan, Aurora Province. Funds were allocated for
food, livelihood, and shelter assistance. Three hundred
twenty families were provided with food assistance, 100 families were
given vegetable seedlings for planting, and 15 families were given
building materials to rebuild their homes. The results of
this project was presented during the 2005 Gala Night of Phil-Am
Friendship Day in the Broward Convention Center July 9th.

Missionaries of the Poor Sisters, Naga City - for the operation of the Day Care
Center in the dump site area. The day care center provides educational classes
and food to pre-school children of the families in the area and livelihood
assistance to the mothers such as sewing machines.

CENTEX (Center for Excellence), an exemplary school in Tondo, Manila with a
curriculum up to par with elite private schools. Funds were used for the
nutrition program.
2004

Assisted the operation of a center in Dayangdang, Naga City by the Missionaries
of the Poor Sisters to address the needs of street children, the disabled, and
the generation of income by families living in the dumpsite and squatter area.

Assisted in the continuing mission of the Center of Excellence school in Tondo,
Manila to provide first class curriculum comparable to the best schools in the
country to the poor children of Tondo. The program provides free clothing,
books, allowance, lunch, and school fees. The parents are also given
counseling.

Assisted in the relief efforts of the Citizen's Disaster Response Center to the
typhoon, mudslide, and flood victims of Camarines Sur and Quezon Provinces.
Funds were raised through the generosity of the South Florida Filipino
Community.

Supplemental feeding of poor school children through the Center of Excellence
(CENTEX). The program operates a school for poor children in Tondo, Manila and
is focused on narrowing the gap between private and public education by
redesigning the curriculum, improving facilities, family support and
counseling, supplemental feeding and educational assistance through private
donation. Staff support is from the Ayala Foundation and teachers are from the
Department of Education Bureau of public Schools
